I graduated Spring ’10 with a degree in General Studies. I worked hard and focused in Sociology, East Asian Studies, Japanese and Journalism. Currently, I am working for a catering company based in Fremont, Seattle.
I enjoy sports, reading good books, movies that make my mind work, music that makes me shiver, and photography. I also enjoy people, hence why I am studying Sociology. People interest me: why we act the way we do, why we think the way we do.
I drink both coffee and tea, I love deep conversations, and consider myself to be a generally crazy person. I am pretty open minded, and imagine I can have a conversation about just about anything. The more random the better! I love being outdoors, but I also enjoy reading by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa. My family, and friends, are very important to me. I want to stop being a person who says she will do something, and just be someone who will do it. And I am constantly reminding myself to not be jealous of what I don’t have, and cherish what I do have.
I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life, but I figure I’ve got the rest of my life to figure it out.
One food I could eat for the rest of my life: potatoes – of any type
Favorite type of food: I love all kinds of food but I enjoy Japanese, Thai, and Greek more than others. ;]
Theme song: “I Won’t Back Down” – Tom Petty
Song I will walk down the aisle to at my wedding: “Don’t Stop Believing” – Journey or “You Make My Dreams” – Hall and Oates
Five albums that have influenced me: Muse – Absolution, Hanson – The Walk, The Lonely Forest – We Sing the Body Electric, Tom Petty – Full Moon Fever, Ray Lamontagne – Trouble
Movies that I can watch over and over: Animal House, Little Miss Sunshine, The Proposal, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Crows Zero to name five. But Shaun of the Dead can never cease to make me laugh.
Books that I think about all the time: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas and “A Sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury
